Purchased the Marantz 8801 and now have it up and running in my theater room. Love everything about it, only sorry that it couldn't have been an Outlaw offering. Waited these past few years for the big release that never came. Been with Outlaw for about 12 years. Started with a Outlaw 750 and really enjoyed reading all the early beta testing results. This place was always alive, miss that. Hope Outlaw can keep it going and sometime in the near future come out with there own flagship and bring the excitement back.

The 8801 seems a very well made pre-pro. Much of the "software" seems to be borrowed from the Denon-AVR4520ci but it gets a nicer build quality.

The features of many pre-pros seem to have stalled out a bit and maybe that gives Outlaw a "window" to get a manufacturing partner to pick up where other projects got shot down but is also makes one wonder what sorts of 4K video changes maybe in the pipeline...
