Hello! A quick question that is not addressed in the spec list.

If I'm using the digital crossover function in my 990, it means that any analog input must be converted to digital before any processing can be done. Anyone know at what sampling frequency and bit depth it is accomplished?

Somewhat related question, if I'm feeding a digital signal and have the option at the source to select among several sampling frequencies, what would be the best to use? I'd be thinking that the higher the better, but you never know!

Thanks!

Hello Deromax, the Model 990 is capable of up to 96/24 sampling/depth. I believe this answers question 2 as well.

If you have speakers set to small for multichannel or some 2-channel sources, it will automatically do the digital conversion and bass management. But you can still defeat the internal digital processing for selected 2-channel analog sources by setting them up in BYPASS mode. I used to configurd the analog stereo output of my Oppo BDP-83 this way for 2-channel SACDs and CDs as well as for phono.
