Same with my 7125, I keep plenty of free air around it. It warms up but doesn't get hot. When I first installed it the cat decided this nice warm spot was the perfect nap location. I bought a rectangle shaped wire holder (similar to this but rectangular instead of circular) from the dollar store and cut it up in to four pieces. The idea was to have big chunks with pointy bits sticking up so that they discouraged kitty from napping there. It works really well and since my amp doesn't vibrate, they don't move.

No! Bad kitty! Shoo! LMAO.

Anti-cat amp protector for anyone who missed the link:

Anti-cat device

Thanks to the amp's low profile, it will free up enough room for me to re-configure my setup to allow for more airspace than I have now. My dysfunctional A/V receiver (never again) takes up more space than these separates will, and separates also give me more freedom to position them optimally. Those heat sinks are monsters by the way. Thanks for the info folks!

I use a small AV fan which is USB powered by my Directv box to move air through my cabinet. It works well and is very quiet even with the door open I can't hear it. All my stuff is behind a glass door which is closed. I cut holes in the cabinet to allow air to move from the bottom to the top where the fan is.
