U r in trouble. While it is not quite as big as the box it is the size of an end table for the couch. Dont forget that the top is protected with a paper shield. They never pass the WAF right out of the box. Too big, too big and WTF is that top about are the three most common reactions.

lol I think she's dealing with it ok.

I've been playing around with it quite a bit since last night. I think I need to run Audyssey again or something, I can't get everything quite dialed in. I've tried the sub in Max Extension plugged and Max Output both sound good, the Max Output setting seems to hit a little harder for music. This thing is loud but not quite as loud as I thought it would be.

I don't know the safe limit to turn it up to I don't want to mess it up. Audyssey set the volume of it to -15hz. I also need to try moving it around, I have it stuffed between a couch and a recliner right now and I think the sound may be getting muffled from being in there. I have tried turning up the volume on the sub and can get it sounding pretty good.

Another weird thing is I don't start getting any volume from my speakers until I turn the receiver up to 34/100 maybe that's because of the speaker range of something.. I gotta play with it.

OK Here's what I have

Sub Level -12.0 dB
Dialogue -2.0dB
Restorer Off
Audio Delay 0ms

MultEQ XT Audyssey
Dynamic EQ On
Reference offset 0dB
Dynamic Volume off

Speakers Small
Subwoofer Mode LFE
LPF for LFE 120 Hz

Crossover Front 80Hz Center 80Hz Surround 100hz

Sub is set, Auto, Max Output, bypass, volume is at about 6 (1 oclock)

See anything that might need to be changed in here?

I might experiment with the LPF setting to lower it down to the crossover point and boost the dialog a little since most of the audio in a surround system comes from the center channel. Is there a reason you turned dynamic volume off?

No reason, I think it set itself up that way.. I've changed everything 10 times since I posted this.. I got Audyssey to finally get the sub level to -1dB..

I have Dynamic Volume set to light now, but it's a toss-up between on and off. It seems to muffle the sound more than anything..
