After a couple months of agony I finally pulled the trigger and bought a 7700 and av7005. Set up was simple and at the moment of truth it worked perfectly. Anyone who is considering either of these components all I can say is wow !. I'm in love with my system again. I just shelved a denon 2310. I constantly fought it for the right settings. I loved my 3300 and got 10 years out of it. The move to separates has me happy thanks to outlaw and marantz. Blue jeans xlr. And oppo bdp 83.

Welcome to Outlaw Gary. You will truly enjoy home theatre with the new awesome additions to your family. I myself am a 7500 owner and will soon pull the Outlaw trigger on a pair of 2200s to complete the heist. For a pre/pro I am using my Onkyo AVR which works fine (and presently runs my surround backs) but the HDMI board was fried as Onkyo has a problem with that. I am running it on analog 7.1 which gives me lossless audio but takes out any equalization. This still sounds great.

I am toying between the Marantz 7005 or wait for Outlaw engineers to go for a C-section and get the 978 out.

The 7500/7700s have no problem in driving the speakers with both speed and force. Detail is above any AVR can push out and noise is dead silent. I'm sure it must be even better with the exquisite Marantz. Are you running standard interconnects between the new siblings or are you going balanced?

I went with the marantz for the balanced interconnects. Couldn't wait for the 978 any longer. Saw a lot of guy's went with the blue jeans cables. They were afordable and can't see how anything else could sound any better. So I would recommend them. Thanks for your reply.

I guess today is my lucky day - I bit the bullit and placed an order for the 7700 amp. Then to find it was on sale, fantastic, as it will help pay the shipping costs to Brampton, Ontario, Canada, Eh ! I hope to order the Ingetra DHC-80.3 Processor this weekend and can't wait to put the stuff together to run my "Def Tech's" & listen to my SACD's with a few movies thrown in.

Congrats on the new 7700 purchase, Peter. I'm still loving my Outlaw 7700/DHC 80.2 combo. The SQ on everything -- especially vinyl! -- is fantastic.

Peter, hope you dont have to wait too long for your new amp to arrive. I watched for that truck like a kid waiting for Santa. You won't be disappointed with the 7700. Its all the power you'll need. From what I've read that Integra is a nice unit too. Let us know when your hooked up. It should be a great day for you. Crank it up !

Also warm up your lower back before trying to lift this thing. At 93 lbs it's no feather. As Gary said, power is practically unlimited. Detail will be astounding to say the least. Noise floor will be silent. Let us know how it sounds to you once you have hooked it all up.

Do NOT TRY TO SET THIS THING UP WITHOUT HELP ! ( For the 7900 this also applies ) This things a hyrenia makers. you'll love it, but it'll hurt you if you underestimate how heavey it really is.
I've never seen anyone replace one of these. It doesn't get a lot better than this.
