I am trying to use the optical connection on my 950 for the first time. In fact this is the first time I have ever used an optical connection. Question, the connection does not feel secure at all, as in it could become loose by moving your equipment. The is the same for the other side connected into my dvd player. Is the my cable, or is this just how the connection works? Any tips on how to make it more secure.

Thanks Bob

It might be an issue with the cable. To some degree, optical connectors can be a bit looser feeling than some other types of connectors. You have to make sure that the connector is rotated properly, but if you got it in at all then you figured that out. You also have to make sure there's no protective cap on the ends of the cable, as that is common and it will hold the cable back a bit from the port.
