Woah... That converts to around $7,000US. I kept looking for a kitchen sink in there somewhere. Seriously, though, it is a remarkable array of features, and certainly a good opportunity for their engineers to try all of the features that they might want to use on other receivers in the next few years. The specs list DVI switching with one DVI input - gotta be a typo, since there are three HDMI inputs with the HDMI switching. Who will use it, though, I wonder...

WOW……..that is one serious looking receiver!! Kind of makes you wonder what other goodies we’ll be seeing in the next 2-3 years. Here is some more info http://www.avreview.co.uk/news/article/mps/UAN/94/v/1/sp/

Specs look very close to the 5805. Maybe that's the European Model Number?

I agree with Gonk. At some point, all those "features" really do reach the point of diminishing returns. Just my opinion...

Jason J's exactly right - don't know why it didn't click with me. This is the 5805, and the single DVI input is not a typo (there's a rear panel pic up on Denon's site now) - presumably the DVI and HDMI switching is a single digital video switching package, with the two formats being interchangeable. I'm sure it's a remarkable piece of gear, but unless you need the video switching or want to use the 5.1 output to the second zone it would seem like there are numerous less expensive alternatives (and for that matter the 5.1 to the second zone could be done inexpensively with a separate receiver).

5805 is 6k. which for me is about 5k too much for a receiver.

Well, you can wait the two years for the technology to trickle down to their lower priced receivers. wink

That Audessy EQ set-up feature seems to be really sweet according to the review over on Audioholics. I also just read in a trade mag about the new 4805 is going to feature the same set-up program. Kinda cool...
