Well, I couldn't resist the promotion that Outlaw was offering on the Final S110 Subwoofers, so I bought two. Unfortunately, at least one spike was damaged on both units, so I currently have enough spikes for only one unit. Anyone have a recommendation on replacement spikes? I could only find a few sites on google shopping like the one here.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

While there may be some others around who can chime in, you might also check in with Outlaw Support in case they have some extras. They may have acquired some spare parts.

What do you think of the sub? A brief review would be nice.

Yup, x2. I've been anticipating a "Final S110" forum in the Saloon. That sub is totally in my size and price range, and Outlaw's endorsement is an added incentive. In doing some research, though, I've been wondering how low the Final S110 really goes. The Outlaws say "25hz", but several other sites that once sold it say "35hz". My Orb Audio Super 8's amp is a bit more powerful and lists at 28hz, so I wanna hear a bit more about the S110 before I pull the trigger. Obviously, I can't wait too long.

I've done a fair amout of business with Part Express and have never had a problem with them. I wouldn't hesitate to buy spikes from them if Outlaw doesn't have any spares.

Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to play with it. It sounds a lot cleaner than the sub it was replacing, a 14 year old Velodyne. But most things do. According to my SMS-1, it balances pretty well. Not much at 25 hz, but pretty even throughout the rest of the range. I'll post more when I get more of a chance to test.

FYI

I ordered a pair but they are still in transit. I did find a review here:
S110 review

I will match them with a pair of Magnepan MMGs and then really enjoy some bebop!

Happy listening,
Albert

It turns out that my other sub was turned all the way down when I calibrated things using my Velodyne SMS-1, so I can say that the Final S110 sub definitely kicks in at 25hz, but doesn't get up to max power until around 30hz.

That's great info, Jason M. Thanx much. Any other impressions or findings?
