Checked out Monsters vs. Aliens in 3-D at the local Best Buy on a Samsung system.

I think I've changed my mind about 3-D for in-home use. The picture quality was pretty amazing. I could only spend a couple minuted looking at it as I was on my lunch break but it is definitely something I'll be looking at more as a possible future upgrade.

Some immediate questions that come to mind are:
1. How many sets of glasses can be supported and can't they make them wireless?
2. How does performance fall off as you move your viewing angle off to the sides?

Are you thinking of something like RF or Bluetooth instead of the IR they are using now? Those would seem to be good options that would get rid of line-of-sight. I think the question might better be "when will they have an industry standard for glasses?"

What about brightness in general? You are significantly reducing the brightness available, not to mention the increased complexity involved in calibration.
