Why is the ECS-10 so expensive. At $849 are we supposed to expect it to outperform the other LFM subs or is it price high because it fills a niche... because of its size. I need to get one or two subs when I purchase some LCR's. I do like their size because it would make them disappear in a room. I'm tired of large equipment. I would love to hear from anyone who has experience with this sub.

Tru blu and I discussed that a bit in this thread . The higher price is because it is a different kind of sub: sealed instead of ported, which allows for a smaller cabinet but requires greater cost to achieve similar performance. I haven't heard an ECS-10, as I don't have a compelling reason to invest in one because my larger LFM-1 is reasonably unobtrusive in my room, so all I can tell you is that the sealed design is basically the reason for the price.

Thanks Gonk. Outlaw should put you on their payroll considering everything you do for them.
Is there anyone who owns this sub that can chime in on how they like it compared to other subs (LFM series in particular)?

Thanks
