I have listened to many other brands but have never tried the Axioms so I can't comment on those.

After listening to the Paradigms I knew I wanted them. I have 2-Studio 100's, C-570 Center,
4-ADP 470's for surrounds, and 2 LFM-1 Outlaw Subs. Even when just listening to music with the two studio 100's, the sound seems to fill the room and not sound like it just is coming from the left and right side.
This system sounds awesome for music and home theater.

I did try disconnecting the cable before it comes into the house, but I am still left with a hum in the speakers.

korkster-

Try a VRD-1FF ground isolator from Jenson Transformer. Cost is about $50 on eBay and it works like a charm in my system to resolve the ground loop induced by the cable TV.

Thanks AvFan. I'll have to look into it. I fired off an e-mail to Outlaw this afternoon. I want to see what they suggest. I'm just glad to have a diagnosis, and that the system is dead quiet once I detach the cable because I do like the 7500. It made a world of difference with the Axiom M80v2's.

Regards

I obviously don't know much about this stuff. All I know is that as soon as the cable seperated from the cable box the noise went away, and I had nothing but quiet throughout the system.

Don't know if this will help anyone but it worked for me. At least for now. Now i guess I need to

Thanks. I disconnected the two lines going into my DirecTV Tivo receiver this morning and voila the hum was gone. I thought I had that thing grounded pretty well. Now know the problem, will have to look for a solution.

I'm having a similar issue, when I have the coax going into my cable box get loud buzz from my current B&K which uses rcas, but I get nothing from my Odyssey which uses balanced. So I do believe in the ability of balanced to reject noise, and this in a short run of only 3 feet. Long live balanced! I will probably get the Jensen isolator anyway, just to be sure.
