Thanks Spoon! Actually the Vsx-37tx is up for sale....The upgrade bug bit me good this time! I'll update the site in a week or 2 if all goes as planned. If anybody's interested, drop me a line.

Nice and cozy set up you’ve got there.

Shouldn’t those surround speakers be tilted down a bit? They look to be at same angle as the wall.

What kind of wall treatment do you use? After experiencing the difference the surface treatment can make, I couldn’t say enough about the importance of it. Unless the walls are already treated, you should try some decorative carpets on the wall. Or if the budget allows, try acoustic panels like these http://www.silentsource.com/fwpanels-fabritec.html

Well I finally upgraded to a FP! It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I sold my 55” Mitsubishi on Ebay and replaced it with a DIY 98” screen and a Sony VPL-HS20 LCD projector. The picture quality is incredible! I had some reservations about LCD vs. DLP but it turns out I really had nothing to worry about. I had also considered the Panasonic AE500 and the Sanyo Z2 but decided to go with the Sony after a lot of research. We a have a 16 year old Sony TV that still has a great picture for it’s age and one of the strongest tuners I’ve ever dealt with, so our experience with that TV helped us decide on the new PJ as well.

I’m considering a recessed pull down screen in the future and gray paint on the ceiling as well.

Click on my signature and let me know what you think.

Spiker,
Don't know how but I missed your post. The room has enough "stuff" that I really don't need any accoustic panels, the sound is fantastic as is. The side and speakers are flush to the wall, aiming them will only cause the surround effects to become localized.
