I've read the SMS1 manual and the Don't Panic guide several times but I don't understand how to save different EQ settings.
I did notice I have to LOCK or after switching off I might end up losing my painfully modelled curve...
Suppose I must be doing something wrong, all that I find saved are the details on the settings screen column, not the trace screen.
Anyone?

If you want to have completely separate EQ curves, you'll want to change the PRESET selected on the System Response screen from SETUP to a specific preset number (1 through 5). Check out page 27 of Outlaw's guide on "Comparing EQ curves" and the third paragraph of page 21 for some more details.

Thanks Gonk,
Found out my low bass is now very clean and tuneful, so there's no need to save different curves.
I made a sort of sub volume control on my Pronto to select 10 through 35 in steps of 5 on my SMS-1.
That's easier than changing the sub's or 990 settings.
Also I macro'ed "DVD Movies" for a different volume setting than "Stereo" and "5.1 direct".
Very happy now, the SMS-1 is a very clean sounding unit.
Oh, BTW, I changed the fronts crossover back to 80 Hz and 80 Hz on the SMS1 as well, somehow this sounds clearer...
Incidentally, I found out when further experimenting with XLR cables that ít's a no-no to make them longer by putting two in series, or use single screened cables.
Hum WILL result!
I think that's because XLR is usually used on 0 dB or higher levels where that doesn't count very severely...
