Hello to all my buddy's out that in Outlaw land. I finally have my HDTV , a Sony KDS-55a2020 LCOS 1080P.

I hooked up my old PS2, yes a Ps2 via the latest Sony Component cables (O2 free copper and gold tip RCA's , only 19.95 at Best Buy)and when I play G-d of War and G-d War 2, the picture quality is so good I can't belive I have such an old game system. I can't get the DVD movies to work for some reason with the P2, all I get is colored waves. Ant ideas why this is the case?

My Denon DVD 3930CI is still out :-(. Denon can not get the parts in time so they will be sending me a brand new unit in like 2 weeks.

A cheap Coby slim line DVD player arrived with my TV. I had the place I bought if from reduce the amount by $30 as I did not want the Coby yet I got it and now it is working, a nice free unit.

I have a Monster Cable 1 meter set of Component cables (I did not buy them, I won't buy Monster Cables) that have those damn small center cut RCA plugs. Thanks to my buddy Aaron for telling me to use a hair dryer and the twist and push motion. These cables will be used to hook the 1070 to the TV so I can view the OSD.

I watched Stargate , the directors cut using the DTS stream and that is so awesome. The 1070 does a great job decoding the sound from these movies. I also played most of the Hunt for Red October and the soun is so cool in DTS. I can't crank it out or my land lords will get pissed. Got to wait for them to go away for the weekend.

The HSU sub is toned down yet still is awesome. The Ascend HTM-200s as rears sound so cool when Rear signal goes through them.

I use they awesome Illuminmati D-60 (Old cable) to link the DVD with the 1070. I already have the designers latest and greatest cable and will use that when I get my Denon back up and running.

This hobby is so much fun and the 1070 seems to really hold it's own when you compare it to amp/preamps costing 2-3 times more.

I will me meeting the Outlaws next month at the HE show in NYC. Are any of you going to this show?

More to come,

Liz Out!!!!
