I just recieved my 950/770combo about 3 hours ago. I have a question that might sound stupid to some but here goes. I have a Klipsch powered sub with speaker connectors on the back of it. I had this hooked up to a Yamaha reciever for 6 years with speaker wire to the reciever speaker inputs , and then wire from the sub to the speakers. I see I've got one RCA out put from the 950 to the sub.Can any one suggest what kind of cable I can connect to the Klipsch 200w powered sub?

If the sub has an RCA input, you can simply use a long RCA to RCA interconnect from the LFE out of the 950. If you do this, just be careful to keep the cable away from 120 VAC wires and such.

The sub does not have an RCA input.

Then you will probably need to connect it like you had it before. That's not a entirely bad option.

As soundhound points out, you will want to wire it up just like the old one, but also be sure to set the sub to "off" in the 950's menu. With the sub off and the mains set to large, low frequency material from small speakers (center and/or surrounds) will go to the mains -- and the sub.

i had one of those once, i gave it to a friend, it was under the bed or somewhere.
spend some money before it's all gone and get an upgrade. i never did believe in those...'u should use the spkr ins if they're there' school. there's a amp level to line level reduction thing in those things, i swear it. oh yeh, some don't have an amp...then that's...ok. i've seen some really good small subs nowadays that rock..and inexpensive, too.
