I have the Oppo 981HD DVD Player and one of the audio settings is LPCM rate. It says the higher the rate the better the audio quality, but also says the equipment needs to support the higher rates. Options are 48 KHz, 96 and 192.

I do not even know if this applies when I have my digital output set to "Raw" rather than "PCM" (I do know the difference), but if it does - does the 1070 support the highest rate?

The PCM rates do not apply with outputting Dolby Digital and DTS bitstreams. Since the 981HD doesn't do any PCM upsampling, it doesn't matter for CD's either (which come in at 44.1KHz, below the minimum setting).

Having said all that, I don't remember ever hearing what the highest supported input bitrate is for the 1070.

Thanks. I suspected it didn't matter, but I was playing the other night and it seemed to make some kind of difference (or I *imagined* it did) so I thought I would ask.
