I have a set of Orb speakers on their way to me as we speak. I have heard many great things about Outlaw. Considering I primarily watch DVD's and very little music would I be going over the top by spending 900.00 on an outlaw. Could I get by with a Harmon Kardon 635. Any help would be great

The question is how we define "necessary" smile - the HK 635 and Outlaw 1070 would both drive your Orb speakers very comfortably. Several folks around here have elected to use the 1070 with Orbs, and they seem to be very happy with the combination. I'd say you'd only be "over the top" if the 1070's price tag was over the top of your budget.

A friend of mine has the Orbs in a stereo setup (plus sub). He is driving them with a 1070 and loves the sound. It's defintely worth a try...sound quality can get subjective, so you should give it a listen. Hope this helps.
