Does anyone know the remote code for an oppo digital dvd player? I have a 1050 but i assume the remotes are the same.

The 1050's remote is going to have a much older database of codes than the 1070 and 990 use, so even if we can track down a code for the Oppo (and I'm not sure if there are codes for it or not) I doubt it'll work for the 1050. Also, keep in mind that the Oppo has shipped with two different remotes, each using different IR codes.

EDIT: You might contact Oppo's customer service and ask if they have any suggestions for remote database codes that might apply to the Oppo - for example, maybe they are using the same remote control codes as some other manufacturer. It's a bit of a long shot, but when I've communicated with Oppo's customer service they have been very responsive.

Anybody who has tinkered with the JP1 capabilities of the remote provided with the 1070 (or the 970 or 990) and who has an Oppo player might be interested in this link to a device file for the Opppo's black remote.

I'm going to resurrect a couple old threads here in order to point folks toward a new thread: this 981HD/970HD beta firmware thread has some information about a trick for letting owners of the 981HD or 970HD control their player with some common DVD player codes. I haven't seen any such beta firmware for the 971H yet, but maybe they'll be able to port this code over to the 971H as well.
