Lets throw a hypothetical out there. Lets say that you already had a external amp (105W x 5) with individual level control. Lets also say that you wanted to add the 1070 to the system. This hypethetical setup would have the 1070 Internal amp powering the tweeters and the external amp handling the mid/woofer duty. How would you balance the individual speakers?

Would you say only connect the 1070 to the HF driver and establish the base level. Then hook up only the LF and adjust (the amp directly) to match the level of the HF?? (using a Rat Shack Meter)

After you balanced each individual speaker you could then go through the usual balncing of the HT system.

Does this sound like it would work?

Please don't let this drop into a discussion of Active Bi-Amping .vs. Passive Bi-amping.

Charlie
