Anybody know if Outlaw forwards the 1070 remote codes to Harmony (Logitech) to put into their database so Harmony users can re-program for the 1070?

Outlaw made sure that Harmony had codes set up for the 990, so Harmony should have the 1070 now or very soon.

This is the one thing I keep checking daily for. I should be picking up my 1070 from where I had it delivered on Tuesday, but I've been checking constantly at the Harmony website to see if the codes are up yet.

Opened a ticket with the Outlaw's and they said they will route my request to the proper Outlaw to see about getting the codes to Harmony. Hopefully we will see something soon.

I noticed something is posted online now, but it seems to be missing quite a few buttons. I had to manually add the 7.1 button, and there was no option for Video 4. It seems to me that someone just did everything manually.

Well it's there but like Jhoff80 said, it's missing a few buttons.

But more importantly, they're not even the right codes. For example, the inputDVD will take you to the video4 input.

Has anyone talked with Outlaw about updating the codes? I was thinking on purchasing a Harmony because I can't seem to get any of the codes I enter into the 1070 remote to control my Denon-2910 and my Echostar HD receiver. I've looked on a couple of websites and also called Outlaw as well.

I am also wanting to eliminate some video anomalies I am getting by running all of the video through the 1070. The connections appear to add distortion like a loose connection might (crosstalk?). Anyone else experiencing this? By using the Harmony, I was hoping to run the video directly to my monitor and use the macros in the Harmony to change the video input selection as I change formats.

For the record, I had to basically redo the entire setup from what was in the Harmony database in order to get things to work for me. I'm not sure if my doing that changes it for everyone else who tries, or anything like that, but after about 20 minutes I was able to make things work.

I had to have my Harmony 880 learn many of the commands from the Outlaw 1070 remote but it's all programmed now.

I have an 880, with mine I had to "teach" it the DVD input button ( it kept telling my 1070 to go to video 4 instead of dvd )now it works great

cpate, I'm having similiar issues with my 970 and 880 remote. What was the process you took to teach it? I've had my 880 learn the DVD input, but somehow in activities it still tries to go to video4.

When I did my 659 the closest I could get was the 1050 I think - it was a while ago. I typed 1070 into "Other" for brand Outlaw. I've had all the problems spoken of here - DVD going to video4, had to set the repeat count to 1 because the volume control was all over the place, etc.

One of the most annoying thisngs about trying to set it up myself is that I haven't found any way to keep it from sending the "on" command (which doesn't exist). You choose the activity on the remote, and everything is up and running before the 1070, which does not come on until the input is selected (it's normal way of powering up).

I'm having a lot of problems right now getting it to behave with my IR repeater sending in through the jack on the back of the 1070 (which I whined about in a different thread).

lordy...maybe I'll wait to hook up the Harmony for a little while.

hell..I haven't BOUGHT my damn TV yet..I'm in Decision Hell. I can't afford $3k for the new NEC, and the $1500 Vizio from Coscto only has ONE HDMI input (I know..that's WHY I got the 1070..so IT can do the switching)..But I wanted to TRY to get the DVD player AND the Comcast HD DVR directly into the TV)

I think my brain is gonna blow up.

Mine is working quite well now, and all I needed to do was program the video4 and DVD buttons and twiddle one or two other things.

There are still a couple of things I'm living with - it would not work reliably when sent through the IR input jack on the back of the 1070 so I ended up just gluing an IR bug onto the front panel and that's all better now. Sometimes my CD player turns on for no reason - I suspect it's when the remote is shutting everything off. Changing the state once should solve that problem, but it recurs.

Otherwise, still waiting for the "official" release, and I suspect when it comes we will have to "re add" the receiver to the profile so we can get a clean shot at the programming.

Those of you who want to know how to learn a button, just choose "troubleshooting" for the receiver in your profile and then pick "The remote goes to the wrong input" and it will guide you through the process. Just tell it you know which button to press on the original remote (and have the remote!).

thanks...I'll see if I can set up the Video 4 thing.

what other things did you 'twidle' with?? I'm not using IR, so I'm safe there.

I managed to get 95% of it working last night. Still doesn't seem to want to talk to the NEC Power on/off yet..but the 1070 responds nicely.

Took a bit to figure out how to add the DVD/4 thing (suffice it to say that Logictech's MACINTOSH software isn't QUITE up to par...)

but..it worked. Of course..I have to leave my $#))#**$$ reading glasses on the table next to the remote now...DAMN that's some small little buttons to read. Damn thing need to be 25% larger all the way around.

I had to change the number of repeats lower because when I was hitting the volume button I was going 2 or 3 db at a crack, and I messed with a few of the other timing settings I don't recall.

I was trying to also speed things up by telling it I did not want to send the "pwr toggle" command as part of the activity, but couldn't figure that out. There is like a 5 second delay when powering up because you have to wait for it to send the "pwrtoggle" command, then the timeout, then select an input - which is what powers up the receiver.

Otherwise I have it working great.
