Does anyone know what DACs are used in the 1070? I don't expect they're the same as those used in the 990 (Analog Devices 1852), but I can hope.

The Model 990's DACs were listed in the FAQ, and the 1070's FAQ hasn't been posted yet. It can't hurt to ask Outlaw (or wait to see if an Outlaw stops by this thread), since they'd be the ones who know.

Thanks, gonk. I asked Outlaw about the 1070's DACs, so we'll see what they say when they get back to me. The 990's DACs were listed in the 990 FAQ *and* the 990 manual. But the 1070 manual is silent on this point.

Oh well, my 1070 still sounds great.

From Scott at Outlaw:
Quote:
For your information, the Model 1070 utilizes the CS42528 CODEC which provides 8 channels of 192/24 D/A at 114dB signal-to-noise.
This is good news. Thanks for the information, Scott.
