Has anyone experience the 7125 shutting down the front left and right channels after about 15 minutes of playing at high volume? I am using Klipsch RF35 as mains . They are 8 ohms.

Is the unit well ventilated? Is it getting physically hot?

I don't have a fan on it. It gets hot in an open rack. It doesn't have any doors.

Mine is having no heating problems. Actually, it runs fairly cool.

Do you have anything on top of it? How much open space above/below and on the sides?

Cheers,

It's on the bottom of the rack, with about 4 inches space above it. And about 2 inches on each side. Admittedly I don't run it full tilt, Im only using 5 Channels atm. But... it has not given me any trouble.

Mine has about 7 " above and 2 " on the sides. Anyway I spoke to Outlaw and I was given some advice. I changed to the crossover to 80 and use small for the mains. I also had the bass at +4 which I changed to 0. So far it sounds great and it's not shutting down anymore. I still have to do some listening to make sure it's ok. Thanks for responding guys.

Why would the crossover point cause the amp to overheat? Why would bass at +4 cause the amp to overheat?

Granted I had small and an 80hz Fronts/Center 100hz Rears crossover setting. But isn't this Amp designed to handle full range speakers all the way around?

Is there something we need to be made aware of?

Hello Rob,

The Model 7125 is even more robust than the 7100 it has replaced. In fact, initial reports on the Model 7125's power have been overwhelmingly positive. When troubleshooting a particular issue, there are many steps that must be covered and variables that must be considered. With regards to the 7125's output, I can assure you there is nothing to be concerned with.

Best,

Scott

New poster here. Outlaw is on my short list of amps to drive my Onix Rockets (four 6-ohm, and one 4-ohm speakers). But to be honest, the crossover change, as well as a main speaker change from large to small, has me a bit concerned. Only a bit because others have posted no issues.

While the changes fixed the OP's problem, I don't understand why! Could it be that the OP's unit is defective?

EDIT: 9/4 @4:48PM
In addition, if I were to experience the same issues as the OP, will those issues be covered by the warranty?
