Hi,

I'm NOT saying it is an issue. I'm asking if other have the same problem as I do.

It starts with:
Computer -> DVI - DVI -> 990 -> DVI -> (DVI-HDMI) -> Panasonic PT-AE900U

Whenever I boot the computer I ALWAYS find the resolution to be set at 640x480...

I manually change the settings back to 1280x720 and everything works fine - EVERYTHING and I'm pleased with all... ...until the next reboot !!!

Has anyone experienced this ? Can it be the 990 that automatically switches the DVI "off" and let's the projector "hanging" at 640 ?

Any help will do - I have the manual work around but it's annoying. - Thanks

CBY cool

Where is the resolution changing - projector or computer? If it is at the computer, could there be a driver issue with the video card? Computers are typically not going to worry itself with HDCP, so you don't have to be concerned with the HDCP handshake.

Hi,

On the computer. There's no driver issue.

Take the following example:
Plug a low-res display (say 800x600) and plug it to a recent card (last few years).
No matter what resolution you set your computer (assume coming from an other monitor) then your computer resolution will auto update to the 800x600's resolution...

I'm wondering, since the 990 is in between the computer and monitor (projector) if the 990 resumes to a 640x480 resolution on shut-off ---> this would explain that I have to manually change my computer resolution everytime I use it with my projector.

The 990's switching is purely switching, so resolution should not be affected and if the unit is off (or switched to a non-DVI input) there no signal at all to the display.

I'd probably take out the 990 and do
computer->DVI->HDMI->projector. There could
be some loss of PnP thru the DVI/HDMI conversion.
If the above fails, the 990 is not the culprit.
