Hi all, this is my first post on the forum. I've been lurking in the background however, for a couple of months.

The various posts I've read here resulted in the purchase of a 990/7500 combo. So far I'm very impressed! A coupe of minor glitches in the setup stage but, that's was it.

I'm wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for remote control codes for my Cambridge Audio Azur 540D DVD player? Been searching the net and having no success.

remote central is the best place to find codes.

I'd also suggest Hi-Fi Remote (their Device Codes page has some additional codes that will work with the 990's remote).

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately, no joy.

Is the Cambridge based on a platform from another manufacturer (Pioneer, Panasonic/Matsushita, ...)? If so, they may be using the same remote codes.

Anyone know who manufactures the 990 remote for Outlaw? Maybe, I can get the code from another manufacturer's user manual.

The remote used with the 990 is a UEI Catalyst48 .

Thanks gonk. I've been talking with CA and they sent me the codes but, they say I'll need a learning remote for sure. I need to reset this puppy to its original state. Help! 990 manual doesn't say how.

Since the 990 remote has a JP1 connector in the battery compartment, you should be able to customize it with a JP1 cable, pc and software. There's a Yahoo! group devoted to the topic and has software available for download.

Also a forum here: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/

Man, I am presented with the same problem. The only device I can't control with my 990 remote is my Cambridge Audio D500SE. I tried doing that thing with the remote where you search for a code, but you have no idea how long to keep doing it. You wonder, have you reached the end of the codes built in? Just keep pushing, pushing....zzzzz.
Wish I knew of a code that worked.
Shotgun, did you ever find one?
