Quick question - in an update from a Sherwood rep on another board, it was stated that "The SNAP upgrade requires changing two chips on the main board" of the Sherwood P-965.

So the initial Sherwood units did not have these two chips on initial production. August '05 is when SNAP came out and after that, all Sherwood P-965 units have SNAP, and therefore the two chips, installed.

Do current shipping 990's have the required chips to support Room EQ? Did Outlaw also benefit from this "platform update" that Sherwood did? And are these chips required for other Room EQ's not just SNAP?

I'm just trying to figure out if Outlaw decides on a Room EQ if it's likely that the 990's in the "field" would need a hardware upgrade...
