This one is really baffling me, and it regards getting proper video output to Zone 2. It seems that Zone 2 shows only one video output regardless of what video setting it is put on.

In my case, I get the display for Video 4, regardless of what video input is set, either in the 2nd zone or prior to entering the 2nd zone, in the main room (just in case the main setting affects in some way the 2nd zone setting, which I doubt is the case).

For example, if I choose Video 3 while on ZONE 2, I still get a display of Video 4, and receive the correct audio for Video 3.

If I choose Video 2, I STILL get the Video 4 display, with correct audio for video 2.

Has anyone else tried video on ZONE 2, and is able to get different video outputs?? I am baffled as to what the problem is, and more importantly, how to correct this....

You probably already figured this out but you set the zone 2 output with the zone 2 remote. it does not follow the main input of the 990. It also does not do translation between component and S-video so you need to have all inputs that you want going to zone 2 in the same format. Personally, I standardize on S-video and use an S-Video to component adaptor to feed the zone 2 amplifier.

Thanks for the reply...

Using the zone 2 remote, selecting the video source with it, and including s-video on all video connections (only dvd has both componant and s-video; all other inputs have s-video only except one other, video 1, which has composite video input only).

Selecting any video input from the zone 2 remote still results in only ONE of the video sources being diplayed, although the correct audio is heard for the video source selected.

Still baffled...

Sounds like you've reversed the input and output from one of your video sources. Please check and make sure that the video outputs from your sources are all connected to the corresponding intputs.

What kind of feed goes to zone 2? Is it S-Video, component, etc?

Cables are indeed not reversed, and an s-video feed is being sent to zone 2.....

I am still working on the problem to determine if there are any other issues here which may be causing it....but so far I remain baffled.
