Dear Fellow Outlaw,

It's been a while since we've sat still for a few moments to send out a full newsletter, so along with the news you'll find below a few seasonal notes are in order. First, we hope that everyone had a pleasant summer and is enjoying the change of season. Next, as anyone who has followed our Newsletters over the years knows, the Outlaws are big baseball fans, and with the post-season now in full swing we want to remind everyone that the Championship Series and the World Series will be in HDTV, which also means Dolby Digital sound. If you haven't upgraded your system to enjoy the latest in digital sound, we can think of no better reason that hearing the roar of the crowd and the crack of the bat in full 5.1!

Beyond those opening notes, there is quite a bit of news, so let's get right to it!

Show News

For those who didn't get a chance to visit with us in New York back in June, the Outlaws are pleased to announce that we will be participating in the Home Entertainment Show to be held at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco with "public days" on November 5th, 6th and 7th. Peter, Scott and many of the other Outlaws will be there with demonstrations of our latest gear and live previews and updates on our new product plans. Anyone who has visited with us at previous shows also knows that there are always some other surprises, "show specials" and who knows, Peter may even be giving away some of those famous Outlaw "goodies" to lucky demo attendees.

If you have never heard a full Outlaw system played the way it was meant to be heard, this is your opportunity to hear the Outlaws at their best. At the same time, this is one of those rare opportunities to meet with the Outlaws face-to-face and talk about the state of all things audio/video.

We look forward to meeting you in San Francisco, and for those who are concerned about what may occasionally be high hotel rates in that great city we note that there a number of very reasonably priced "boutique" hotels in the Union Square area near the St. Francis. For more information about the Show, go to http://www.homeentertainment-expo.com.

To help make it easier for you to attend the Show we have obtained a limited supply of free admission and reduced admission tickets. In the past these have gone out almost as soon as we made them available, so to make things fair to all, the tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis as follows:

· We will accept requests starting on October 20th at 10:00 PM Eastern Time (7:00 PM Pacific to allow those of you on the West Coast to get home, if needed, to send an e-mail from your home computer)
· Send your ticket request as an e-mail to showtix@outlawaudio.com. Please include your name and mailing address.
· We're sorry, but due to the anticipated demand, only one ticket per mailing address.
· Requests received at any other e-mail address, in any other form or before the date and time stated above will not be honored.
· Tickets will be distributed as long as they last, but again, please remember that the supply is limited and we apologize in advance if your ticket request cannot be honored.

New Product News

Work continues on all of the new products we have been talking about in recent Newsletters. As mentioned above, the latest samples of the RR 2150, Model 1070 and Model 790 will be on display at the Home Entertainment Show and we'll save our news on those products until the Show. We can say, however, that work is progressing nicely and all of those products are moving towards the point where we will be able to finalize the pricing and introduction schedules.

Current Product News

All of our current products are in stock and available for immediate shipment.

Our LFM-1 Subwoofer continues to receive high accolades from end users and reviewers alike! The November Issue of Home Theater Magazine has just announced the LFM-1 one of the 35 "Must Have Products under $1,000"! In addition, Neil Gader of The Perfect Vision pronounces that he has not heard a better subwoofer at this price in a glowing review in this month's issue!

Promotions Department

What would a pending show be without a "Show Special"? Rather than wait until next month, we've decided to start the excitement now.

Replacing any current promotions, which expire at Midnight on Monday, October 11, 2004, we are pleased to announce our fall "Outlaw Buckeroo" promotion. We know that once we lasso you in we've got you as a customer. With the large number of new products in our pipeline for release in the months ahead it seemed like a good idea to combine the present and the future by offering $100 in "Outlaw Bucks" as an added incentive to anyone who purchases a combo system with a NEW Model 950 preamp/processor and any of our multichannel amplifiers, or a "stack" of five, six or seven of our Model 200 M-Block amplifiers between October 14th and November 15th. This gives you the best of both worlds: a great home theater system today and a head start on your next Outlaw purchase in the future.

As you might expect, there are some ground rules:

· Anyone purchasing a new Model 950 and one of our current multichannel amplifiers (Model 7100, Model 755 or Model 770) or a package of five or more Model 200 amplifiers between October 15 and November 15, 2004 will also receive $100 in Outlaw Bucks.
· In order to qualify for this promotion, the Model 950 and amplifier must have been purchased at the same time and charged to the same credit card.
· The Outlaw Bucks will become valid 31 days after your receipt of the qualifying products for a period of one year towards any purchase from Outlaw Audio. If any of the qualifying products are returned, the Outlaw Bucks will not be valid.
· The Outlaw Bucks are not transferable, and may only be used by the original purchaser of the Model 950/Amplifier combo.
· These Outlaw Bucks may not be used in conjunction with any other promotion that may be in effect at the time they are redeemed.

If you have been sitting on the shelf, wondering if "now" is the time to step up to the power of Outlaw products or upgrade your system to components, we can think of no better reason than additional $100 towards a future purchase as a reason to take the Outlaw plunge!

Web Site News

Saloon Department: If you have visited the Saloon in the past day or two you will note that it looks a bit different. We've made a major upgrade to the Saloon's software to make it run better and offer a few more features.

If you haven't visited the Saloon in a while, you'll note that in addition to some major software updates to the things "behind the scenes" that keep the Saloon running, we've made some major changes to the look and feel. What we haven't changed is our intent to offer a place for the most knowledgeable discussion of home theater topics anywhere on the Internet, and to do so in a free and open manner without any interference while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for all participants.

In most cases you won't need to do anything to enjoy the improvements to the Saloon other than to drop in for a visit, though some users may wish to reset their bookmark. If you are a frequent visitor there is a possibility that one setting in your Saloon profile may have to be adjusted, but some of our Gunslingers have already posted the instructions for dealing with that at http://ubb.outlawaudio.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=6;t=000512 .

A final note on the Saloon is to remind you that we have not deleted any old posts during the software transition, but some have been moved to an "Archive" section. All current message threads remain, and all passwords and other user information will remain unchanged.

Shopping Cart News: Yes, we've finally done the deed. To those who have been pointing out that our Shopping Cart and ordering system have gotten a bit long in the tooth, we hear you. You are now able to order Outlaw products using an all-new, state of the art shopping cart system. We appreciate everyone's comments about this, and now that we've made the changes you asked for, the rest is up to you: PLACE AN ORDER!

Keep Checking Back Department: There's more on the way on our web site, so check back frequently!

"NO COMMENT" Department

We were taken by surprise to see a comment in the Los Angeles Times sports section this past week about the possibility of the Outlaws buying the naming rights to the Network Associates/Oakland County (CA) Coliseum.) The Outlaws will neither confirm nor deny the rumor, but if the gentleman responsible for leaking the story contacts Outlaw Customer Service we will reward him with an official Outlaw hat and shirt. We don't know if this link is still valid, but you can read it for yourself at http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-briefing4oct04,1,5023270.story .

That's about it for this Newsletter. We need to get back to work on our new products, planning for the Home Entertainment Show, and some other things we're working on that you will see before the end of the year. This is one of those great times of the year when almost every sport has some activity, so enjoy it with the power and fidelity of an Outlaw system if you can't make it out to the games.

Of course, there is that other sport of politics, so don't forget to register and vote. "We're the Outlaws, and we approved this announcement!"
