I recently posted a review on Audio Review regarding an HK AVR7000. I had a Yamaha recently and upgraded to the HK. The Yamaha was rated at 70w/ch. The HK at 100W. It seems that the Yamaha was louder but full of distortion. On the other hand the HK is crystal clear but I can crank it all the way up and still want more. Perhaps you could help with regards to the sound level. I was wondering if I am getting the wattage out fo the HK but since it is so clear that I do not notice. As with the Yamaha, YEA, it was louder, but full of shit too!!!! Do you think there is something wrong with the HK or do I need an amp to get what I want now. I have a set of Klipsch RP5's on the way and I want to do them justice. I will move my Wharfedale MFM7's to the rear and maybe use my old Optimus speakers for future surround sound capabilities or for another system. Look forward to seeing you feedback. I ended up here because of your good reviews in AudioReview.
