Hi all! I read the reviews and feel that irresistable impulse ... Anyone out there familiar with the Harmon Kardon AVR 65? Does the 1050 sound better?

Running Infinity Overture 3s, Merak center, Infinity RS3's in the back with a Mission 77 ds for the rear center. Really looking forward to the 1050.

I haven't heard the AVR 65, but I remember reading about a lot of quality control issues with the 65 (and some other HK gear, including some of their CD changers -- owned an FL-8300 CD changer that ended up giving me some headaches with carousel operation). There were enough of those "problem" comments that I became pretty wary of Harman Kardon's receivers and CD changers. That's all fairly old info, though. I'd probably go with the 1050, myself -- better reliability record and better features.
