We had a power outage this past Monday that may have been accompanied by a brown-out(I wasn't at home to witness it).
Last night I noticed my 1050 wouldn't power up. No response from the remote. No response from the power button. I unplugged it for about 30 seconds, but no change. Before I left this morning, I unplugged it in order to check if a half-hour would make a difference, but I forgot to check it before I left for work.
Our answering machine/cordless phone combo is also unresponsive, plugged into the same surge protector as the 1050. Everything else that is plugged into the surge protector is working fine (TV, DVR, VCR, lamp).
The 1050 is connected to the Dish Network DVR, the speakers, and the surge protector.
Any suggestions other than replacing w/a 1070;)?

I have just been informed the TV has died. I think the surge protector must be faulty. Hopefully the DVR doesn't go next.

I'd give Outlaw a call before declaring the 1050 lost - there have been a few other 1050's in the last year or so that have had mishaps and successfully paid a visit to Outlaw for service. Of course, if the upgrade bug is nibbling at your heels, I'm sure they'd also be willing to sell you a new 1070. wink

Good news. The 1050 just needed to reset for the day. I got home last night, plugged it in and it powered up like normal. A message from Outlaw customer service suggested just that.
In a business world that seems to ignore the customer and the product after the sale is made, Outlaw is a welcome change indeed.

Now if only the tv would reset.

Ah, good to hear that the 1050 has revived itself! It's a shame that the TV didn't make it, though.
