When one of the Surround mode buttons is pressed (refer to p. 31 of the manual, "Changing the Surround Mode"), it will as noted cycle through the available settings for a particular input. I found that the available surround mode settings are the same for all digital inputs, and are the same for all analog inputs, respectively.

What I am trying to do, is create a macro to select, say, Dolby EX, by emulating a press of the DD key five times. Or, another example, to obtain DTS-ES, one would press the DTS key two times.

The problem is that the beginning of the "surround mode cycling" seems to vary. Is there a way to always have it begin at a particular surround mode, so that a macro would work consistently from the same starup point...eg, PLII-C when using the DD key in a macro.

Hope the above is clear...:-))

Would appreciate any opinions on how to get this to work!
