Does anyone know the specs on the Componenet Inputs. Component are the 3 rca plugs seperated into RGB colors by the way.

From what I read I thought they could only handle 480i NTSC signals, meaning no High Definition Signals or Progressive Scan Signals from DVD's.

Is this correct?

Any thought for future products to have DVI-HDCD passthrough technology for complete video switching?

I believe the component inputs are rated to 45 mhz... which is the exact requirement of 1080i (45mbps) (1hz = 1bit/sec) (google rustling in the background)

I had been siwtching my component inputs from dvd -> tv through the 950 and I recently switched to use the tv's inputs to switch (in an attempt to simplify some macros) and I didn't notice any degredation of quality on a 480p signal....

Honestly, if your system is sophisticated enough to have DVI/HD in it, I'd think you'd want to have a dedicated video switching device, no matter which pre/pro you owned.
