Sorry, I'm sure Scott has already answered this somewhere, but I can't find the answer.

I know that the 950's warranty is fully transferrable, but, what if I sell my non-final-hiss fixed unit and the next owner has unacceptable hiss from that unit in his system... Can the second 950 owner also exchange his unit for a final-hiss-fixed unit from Oulaw?

Thanks, and Happy Holidays!

Take Care,
merc

Actually, Mike confirmed that you do not need to do the hiss exchange prior to selling your 950. He said that as long as you transfer the warranty, Outlaw will be glad to extend the same service to the new owner, including the free exchange, should your unit hiss in the new owners system.

Wow! Is that great customer service or what???

Ve-e-e-ery nice...

I've definitely been impressed this year by their determination to take care of their customers. From the big stuff (the time and effort chasing down the last hisses on the 950's) to the little stuff (changing the locking RCA's on the PCA interconnects to ones with a smaller outer diameter -- got a set for Christmas and was very pleased with them) to the decorative (tweaking the logo), they do listen.

I had also wondered about the following (similar but different):

If I had a rev 2 with no hiss now. I change speakers and/or amp(s). Now I get hiss. Would they exchange it? Sounds like so if in the 5 years.

I truly believe this: good customer service is priceless.

I don't know if I'd wait that long.

My 950 hisses on the speakers and amplifier I use today so it's an easy decision for me. I'm exchanging my 950, as soon as they let me.

The warranty on my Von Schweikert speakers became worthless when Von Schweikert went out of business. Ditto with the LAtronics warranties when they went of business. An expensive lesson.
