Hello
Iwould like to ask if any of you outlaws have had experience with the concept and/or implementation of jitter reduction. There are several stand alone devices that purport to being able to take PCM, Dolby Digital and DTS signals and "clean up" jitter by reclocking the original datastream. One of these Units, the Camelot Dragon 5.1 runs about the price of a 1050! My understanding of jitter is that it a timecode error which can lead to sonic deterioration. This is most notable from lower quality sources and especially with PCM data streams. There is argument that DD 5.1 and DTS is compressed and error corrected so that any unit claiming to clean up those signals is...well, perhaps hyperbole?
So, knowlegeble Outlaws, whadaya say?

I am by no means an expert on this subject but everything that I have heard with regards to jitter has been associated with the player. Even when it is passing a digital signal a better head unit can reduce jitter, having correction for this in the processor is new to me but sounds like a great idea.
