I'm looking for a new sub.I have a Velodyne ULD15 that still works but i'm ready for a change.Been looking at the seismic 12.The Outlaw's 2 LFM-1's deal looks good too.I do about 70% movies and like it at reference levels(I wanta feel the impact!)My room is 20x14x8 with a 10ft. open side to the rest of the house. All comments are welcomed.

Thanks for the link, has some great information on it.The LFM-1 looks like a great deal from the spec's~holds it own against some very expensive subs!

Both subs are quickly compared in the Home Theater Sound Review as well.

Would have been interesting if, for a closer-to-same-price comparison, there had also been an additional comparison with a pair of LFM-1's versus the other two subs.

Well this afternoon i had to go by the home audio store in town for a cable ground isolator and had a listen to the Paradigm seismic 12.The thing really did a great job,I was very impressed!Their price was around $1600 which is more than 3 LFM-1's.The information from the link apodaca supplied shows that 1 LFM-1 averaged the same output as the seismic 12 which i find hard to believe after hearing the Paradigm. The LFM-1 must be a super deal for a sub.Think 2 LFM-1's will be in my future.

Just out of curiosity, what made you pick the $1600 Paradigm over the $579 Outlaw LFM-1?

Cheers,

Well i got a better price than the $1600, but it was still more than 2 LFM-1.I liked what i heard on it's lowend on music. It's 2" of speaker travel and 1200 watt amp. really give alot of impact on movies too.If i could have heard the LFM-1 then it might have changed my mind, but i didn't want to buy it and send it back just to listen to it.The seismic also has a balanced XLR input which works great with the 990 preamp.
