Did you try contacting them at all? 3 weeks is still within the 30 day trial period.

I think I would have at least contacted Outlaw to see what they would say before I vomited all over the message board. It's frustrating when things don't go our way, but give someone the benefit of the doubt.

Well, you have a 1050 that died, I bet it's more than three weeks old. Did you buy it used? If so, shame on, NO, congratulations, we Outlaw fans love bang for the buck and cheaper than new is cooler than sliced cheese to us. One word though, when buying used equipment, make sure that you pick a company that will transfer the warranty to the new owner. A company like Outlaw, WOW! You're two for two, You go boy! Smart thinking! Now we're getting somewhere, also when picking out audio equipment it helps to pick a company that lets you air your problems out in a public forum for everyone to see, maybe someone like Gonk or Soundhound can help out, if not, Scott is always around and he is a company drone (just kiddin' Scott wink ), DUDE!, you are three for three.
Anyway, sorry to hear of your troubles with your equipment, give these guys a break, and a chance, and they may prove to be the best.

Welcome to the forum, c123. I'm sorry to hear that the LFM-1 gave you some trouble - but Outlaw has a long-standing reputation for excellent customer support, and your sub is well within its 3-year warranty. They'll get you taken care of next week.

I know it's frustrating when equipment breaks. It can be a real pain, but I would suggest that your suggestion that Outlaw's products are junk is the result of that frustration. Give the Outlaws a chance, I think you'll find that the company's products and customer service are both top notch.

yeah, i think i was too harsh and a bit unfair with that post, and i retract the crap and junk statements... i am just frustrated, and wont mind if the post is erased because the gear is pretty darn good, if not exceptional, when it is working. but heres the deal:

one party, the sub died.

the VERY NEXT party, my 1050 died. and i was really attached to it.

it just seems like too much of a coincidence, thats all. i was once like you all, this company's staunchest defender and recommender. its just a slap in the face when all you do is talk about how good this gear is and then it lets you down...

You can edit the post by clicking on the paper & pencil icon right above it. That includes editing the title if you edit the first post.

While it really sucks to have anything break, one of the best signs of a great company is how well they treat you when stuff goes wrong. EVERY company has something go wrong on them at some time or another. It's what they do then that will really separate them from the crowd.
