I am seriously thinking about added a LFM-1 as a second subwoofer, but I have some concerns.

At present my subwoofer is a Mirage OM-200, it has two eight inch side firing drivers set on opposing sides. The internal amp is 200 watt continuous/800 watt dymamic. I am using a ICBM for bass managment. My amplifier is a Outlaw 755. I should add I listen to a lot of music so I am hoping the LFM-1 will be a musical sub too. Here out my concerns:

1) How difficult do you think it will be to blend the OM-200 and LFM-1?

2) I have ceramic tile floors and since the LFM-1 is a downward firing sub what problems will that present?

3) The big question will the money be well spent by adding the LFM-1?

I understand most of you have not heard it but your thoughts on the subject would be welcome.

Thanks, LTK

1) not at all. The LFM-1's owner's manual seems very well detailed, in plain language, on how to set up one or two subs. Let that, and your ears be your guide.

2) none. One of my three subs' ports fires downwards onto poured concrete without issue. Should be no different having a driver doing so.

3) always a good idea to go from one sub to two - especially when the second one is so relatively inexpensive. ie. a good return on your investment.

The ceramic floors are a good thing, I wish I had them in my theatre room. That sub will hit hard as hell.
