I'm planning on purchasing a separate 7 channel amp for my HT and have been thinking about giving Outlaw amps a shot. Does anyone have any info on the model 7100 spec's/ I'm trying to find the output into a 4ohm nominal speaker. While we're at, how about availablity?

Specs on the 7100 are still pretty scarce. At 8 ohms, it's rated at 100Wx7. The 770 and 755 increase by 1.5 at 4 ohms (300W from 200W), so the 7100's likely to be around 150W at 4 ohms, but that's just a guess. Anybody else seen anything more specific?

As for availability, in December they were hoping to get it into production this month, with the first shipment possibly happening as early as late January/early February. That's the last I've heard.

I just got my issue of HT and I saw an ad for the 7100 (along with the 755/770). Has anyone heard when it will be available? I know they had some issues, but I'd think if they have a full page ad with the 7100 included, it must be close to delivery.

stabie,
I've seen the same ad for the last couple of months and have yet to see any news regarding ship dates. I emailed Outlaw and asked about specs. and availablity a month or so ago and was told that the production was held up due to the dock workers strike on the west coast.

"That's right, Chief! They used the old "blame it on the dockworkers trick." If ya wanna discuss it, Chief, don't you think we oughta use the Cone of Silence?"
"No Max, absolutely not!"
"But Chief...."

What's the combo price? Anyone know if they will offer a 5-channel version? (5100?).

5-channel, dont know.

“ 7100 $899, with a $50 "family discount" for anyone who
has previously purchased an Outlaw electronics product (that includes all
amplifiers, the Model 1050 and the ICBM, but not "cable-only" purchases).”

950/7100 pkg. $1,698
950/7100/pca 7 stack pgk: 1,798

Frank,

How do you like the Polk Audio (bi/di-pole)side surrounds, and what model are they?
Do they work for music as well as HT?

I currently use Paradigm ADP-170 v2 for my side surrounds and a Polk Audio Cs1000 for my center speaker. The timbre match is good between Paradigm and Polk. I'm really considering the Polk surrounds.

JT,
The suround speakers are LsiFX, and they sound fantastic for music and movies. Be carefull upgrading to these...as soon as you wire 'em up you'll want a complete set of Lsi's!
