Guys:

I wonder if any one have tried loading the 770 with one channel with less than 4ohm? I have two center channels speakers, one is 6ohm and the other is 8ohm... I connected them in parallel ... combined they are about 3.43ohm.

The fronts are 4ohm, the surrounds are 6ohm, and the rears (x2) are 8ohm.

So, any experience with this loads? I usually does not listen very loud, because neighboring restrictions (i live in an apartment), but when I know there is no one around, I like to crank the volume to sometimes offensive levels, mostly to enjoy the power, as it gets to deafening levels with no distorsion at all...

but I never played that loud for more than a single track (<4min, give or take), and I dont know if the amp will not hold that load for long.. is a just the center channel at the end of the day, and I use surround processing, that is why I use it so much.

I suggest you call the Outlaws to ask them. I do not think it would be a problem, I have a passive sub hooked up to one of the channels and it is 4-6ohms, but that channel barely breaks 112 dF measured with my non-contact thermometer. Overall, my 770 runs about 104-106 dF with high SPL's, but with normal listing, it barely breaks 100.

The rest of my speakers are all 8 ohms with about 89dB efficiency.
