Well after 2 years of being in storage, I finally brought the 950 beast out of storage. got moved in and system all hook up. to my surprise the 950 did me no justice. NO sound from the speakers! the subwoofer was the only thing I heard! I have a DVD player that has 5.1. checked that. every seems to be hooked up correctly. Can anybody help a brotha out?

There are certainly some things that can be checked out. Here are a few questions that might help start the process:

1. What sources do you have connected, and how are they connected? (For example, if it's just the DVD player, are you using coaxial digital, optical digital, multichannel analog, or some combination of those?)
2. What amp are you using? Can you confirm that it is on?
3. Do the internal test tones give you anything?
4. Aside from the lack of sound, does the unit appear to be functioning? Front panel display on, responding to commands from the remote, video output working, on-screen menu working?

Eveything seems to be working in that regard. I'm using optical like I always have. the intenal test is not giving anything, just the bass.

If the internal test tones are not producing anything and you've made sure that you're amp is on and working properly and connected properly, you may want to give Outlaw support a call. They may suggest a system reset (described on page 45 of the manual) as a first step.
