Does anyone know how these two compare. Right now I have two 400 watt amps for my HT. Sound I get a 950 and buy an additional amp or use the 1050 and pre-out to the amps that I all ready have?

I replaced a 1050 with a 950. I don't make a lot of reference to it in my review , but I would definitely say that the 950 is a noticeable step up. You might poke around in the 950 forum at some of the reviews there -- several others have switched from using 1050's as a pre/pro to using a 950.

Especially if you will be affected by some of the features differences, like no component switching, different number of digital (and analog) inputs, etc. If you've got four devices with optical outs that you want to connect, the 1050 simply won't do it for you.
