Are you wanting to control the 950 with the Voom's remote, or the Voom's box with the 950's remote? If it's the first, I would expect the Voom to not include a code for the 950. If it's the second, you can learn the Voom remote's codes directly to the 950's remote.

Either way, if you chose to switch to a universal remote, I am very satisfied with my Home Theater Master MX-500 (its big brother, the MX-700, is also a great remote). Harmony has a new remote in the same price range as the MX-500 - ~$100 - that is also very popular.

speaking of Voom, how do you like it? it caught my eye as far as hd programming goes, but are the channels they give you showing anything worth watching? i havent read their lineup yet, but i thought id ask anyway.

sorry for the late reply. i've enjoyed voom so far. the hd stuff is great and 5.1 sound is pretty good too. it does have some teething issues, so i'd recomend going to http://www.satelliteguys.us/forumdisplay.php?f=24
for more info. the nice thing is, you can try it out for for about $80 a month. no strings apparently

thanks for the suggestions regarding the remotes.
