Where can I get a rack mount kit? Can I use a generic one or does Outlaw sell one?

Thanks.

I don't know, but I think if you ask again someone might hear you...

Try here. Middle Atlantic Products . They will set you up if anyone can.

Or just use any rack shelf if you don't need to clamp it in.

Outlaw says that they don't have a kit. Middle Atlantic can only offer a shelf option (which probably cost over $100)

The ICBM is a perfect 1u with the screws ready for rack ears. It looks like they designed it to be rackmounted but they don't have the kit yet.

I have a Panamax 4300 that is the same size and they offer a kit. I will probably buy another set of Panamax rack ears and drill them if I need to. They only cost $6.00 versus $100 for the custom shelf.

I have found that there is not a huge demand for rackmounting. I am suprised because rackmounted equipment looks so nice.

I agree. I have two SKB 10U ATA racks stacked for most of my equipment. It is a neat, and functional aesthetic which complements the Outlaw gear.

For several pieces of equipment which needed to be rack mounted, I have simply made some "L" brackets and attached them to the sides off the equipment. It has worked very well - just a few holes to line up with the sides of the equipment and the holes in the rack.

Soundhound:

Do you find that you have to drill your equipment for the L brackets you have made or are the holes usually there?

I don't want to put drill holes in my ICBM. It think it is already designed to be rackmounted and has the holes but nobody has made the kit yet.

Thanks for your reply.

I know this is an old thread but I found a bracket that works rather well. It is a Penn Fabrication Rack Mount Bracket 1 Space from Parts Express . You need to order 2 as the sell them singly. I had to drill a small hole at the bottom of each bracket, as the holes didn’t line up perfectly. But these do work great. Just thought I’d share.

Thanks Dr. Spike. However, I have moved to a receiver with adequate bass management so I no longer use the ICBM.

Anyone want to buy it? It is still under warranty and in excellent condition (with original double boxing manual). I might also have a set of short cables to sell with it.

Hello Hammick,
I am interested in your ICBM..
Can you please email me what you're asking for it? I'm also interested in the cables. What make, length, etc.

Thanks,

If the unit is the same dimensions as the M200 these should bolt right on. http://ww1.onecall.com/PID_16214.htm
Good luck.
