I recently purchased 2 magenpan MGMC1s for my front speakers and the magnepan CC3 for my center channel. I plan on also purchasing the MGMC1s for the rears. I have a PSB Subsonic 5i subwoofer.

I currently have a NAD T760(60watts/channel) which has a blown right channel (which just happened) and I am looking for a replacement. I purchased a NAD T762 yesterday and it has 100watts/channel (rated at 100watts through all 6 channels simultaneously) but I am not totally impressed with the unit and plan on returning it. It uses a fan to cool the system and the fan is audible during quiet parts of movies and between music tracks. I also think that the MAGs need more power than the 100 watts this receiver puts out.

I want to go with separates but I am uncertain on which amp would best fit my needs. The room I have my HT in will not support any additional speakers so I do not need a 7 channel AMP and do not believe that will change any time soon.

The system will be mostly used for watching movies but we will also be playing music CDs on the same system. The Mags need the sub woofer as they are lacking in bass so I would want to configure the system to be able to use the fronts and the sub for playing music CDs. Can the 950 be programmed to do that?

I am thinking that the 950/755 pair will fit my needs.

What are your thoughts?

The Mags are 4ohm.
Where are the B stock prices listed?
What would be the difference between the 755 and 5 x 200's? There is only a $100 difference between them. Would there be a benefit going with one or the other?

Thanks for you input.

Did you ever get your MGMC1s. I have MMGs front mains and plan to get the MGCC3 and MGMC1 for rears when I can afford it.

I am seated about 14 feet from the speakers and the Nakamichi AV-10 (100Wx5) doesn't seem to provide the soundstage I am looking for.

If you got the 755, how did it work out with your Maggies.

Yes I got the MGMC1s and the MGCC3 for the center channel.
I ended up buying a Rotel 1075 AMP and 1066 PreAmp/Processor. Wanted to buy from a local dealer.

Rotels are quite nice, too. I personally think Outlaws are the better bargain, but you won't go wrong with either brand.
