My wife and I rented this movie about three weeks ago. After watching less than half of the movie, we went out and bought it that day. It is incredible! Neither of us are into Japanimation, but this film crosses all borders and genres.

We also bought another movie, Castle in the Sky, done by the same guy. It, too, is a great movie, and I recommend you check out both.
