I just got this last night after longing for a good "5.1" dvd experience. This is one of my favorite movie of all time (where can you se James Brown, Ray Charles, Cab Callaway, Aretha Franklin and John Lee Hooker singing all in the same movie) Plus Belushi and Akroyd are just too darn funny in their black suits and sunglasses. Plus for the die hard fans some of the scenes have some extra footage added. Nothing to write home about but it was nice to see. The director John Landis has a real odd view of the world in this one and it fits just right in my crazy mind. For me, the best part was hearing the many musical numbers in what turned out to be good surround mixing (the James Brown scene was amazing). There was good use of the rears in all parts of the movie too. I am definitely glad I own this one.
