Just for all you Star Wars fans like myself, if you did not see it on TV today go to starwars.com to check out this most impressive trailer. I am really certain this movie is not going to disappoint.

Thank you! I hadn't heard about the new trailer. That looks SO much better than the lovey-dovey trailer that I saw last. The storyline definitely seems to be turning darker. Can't wait to see this at the Cinerama!

I just finished watching attack of the clones. I could not wait until tonight when I see it at the legendary Ziegfield here in New York. I must say you have got to see this on a digital projector. It will make a world of difference. I would compare it to a vhs, dvd, type difference. Now if you are not close to any one of the only 94 DLP theaters then do what you have to do. This movie is not to be missed for any true star wars fan. I just thought I would warn you.

Hey! Stop that! I'm not going to get to see it until tomorrow!

Seriously, I'm glad to hear that it sounds like a fun movie. I just got off the phone with one of two digital theaters in town (found out that I can't purchase tickets over the phone, so I'll be driving out there after work to get tickets).

How do you know if your theater is digital or not?

I'm trusting their web site to be telling the truth -- not that I entirely trust it (actually I trust it very little, especially since I'd never heard any mention of DLP in town before yesterday), but even if their definition of digital is something off the wall like "we have a digital clock in the projection booth" it's not the end of the world.

If you go to the dlp website or the star wars web sight they have a list of all the digital theaters. Look up where you live and check it out. You are really missing out if you don't.

Well, there are two theaters with two DLP screens each in the entire state of Tennessee, and both theaters are here in Memphis. I ended up seeing it last night on one of those screens -- highly recommended.

Hmm, closest appears to be Elizabeth, ~70 miles away along the NJ Turnpike. I think I'll skip that one.

We're lucky in the Boston area. We have 3 digital theaters!! Hope to see the movie soon. Is it worth bringing a 5 and 8 year old?

The Cinerama here in Seattle is one... can't wait! This is hands down the BEST theater in Seattle. When it re-opened three years ago (just in time for TPM) it was supposedly the best on the west coast. Paul Allen, of Microsoft fame, bought it and revamped it. Sound and picture are outstanding!

Well, after the dust settled there was only one standing at #1. Attack of the clones broke the thursday record with 30,000,000. The estimated amount for the four day weekend is a staggering 116,000,000 bucks. Outstanding, now if I could only figure out a way to make that much dough in a weekend.

The movie was pretty good...a little slow at times but at least it started to tell the story. It also tied into the original 3 movies much better then episode 1 did. The sound rocked and it will be an absolute treat to hear in our own theaters. No offense to my local joints but i like the sound at home better. After hearing you guys talking about full digital theaters I was bummed that there is not even 1 in Minnesota.

Hey, at least you have theaters with digital sound, and thx certification. Heck...the only theater in town that carries a certified Dolby Digital system is the Fargo..and that's a strict "art house" theater. The major theaters in town are all owned by one company...and not a ONE has Dolby Digital, DTS, or (needless to say THX certification) In order to hear the movie as it should sound I'ld have to drive 200 miles to Coon Rapids or Eagan MN.
