I got one of those racks yesterday. It's a great deal! It is really sturdy, and much better quality than I expected for the price. I was looking for an audio rack for a while, and was sure that I was going to have to spend several hundreds to get anything decent. I was pleasantly surprised. My wife think that it looks great, too!

As far as the holes go, I jigsawed a few more holes behind my receiver to help keep things from bunching up too much. I think it's kind of cool. Now I have a specific hole for the component video in's and out's, another for the speaker cables, another for the digital cables, and another for the rest. I measured everything up, and lined up the holes with the receiver, so everything fits real nice, and you can't see them.

Thanks for the idea and the links, Pat!

I ordered the TV Stand last night from BestBuy for my 36 inch TV, I believe I can put the 1050 & DVD player on one of the shelves. Yesterday I went looking for a audio rack and very few to select from, and way too expensive. Anyway here is the home page link for Studio RTA. This seems like a good deal. I will post a picture when I get it setup .......http://www.studiorta.com/

Psklenar that is a nice setup!!

SpOoNmAn,

I just posted a temporary web page with four pictures for you -

+ One from the front demonstrating how well the wires are hidden from where it matters.

+ One from the side to give a good voerall view of the wiring.

+ Two angled views from the front of the side.

Hopefully these will give you a better idea of what it can do. Note the top item in my rack ... a Pioneer LDP. It's a very deep unit. And it, along with it's cable connections fit in the rack without a problem.

Benjamin & Hi-Fi,

I hope you like yours as much as I like mine.

Can that rack take casters instead of feet? I really need to be able to swivel my rack around to swap equipment in and out regularly. Most swiveling or rolling racks start in the $700 range and quickly move above $1000, and <$300 would be much better for me (especially since I may need two).

While I'm asking, how much weight can the shelves hold? I imagine quite a lot - I see some serious Outlaw hardware on yours. Nice pics, BTW.

you probably could ... but I'm not sure I would. The rack came with "self leveling" feet. Basically they are just screw in foot that as you slide the rack around seem to adjust the level somehow. Not sure how, but it seems to work. I guess you could put casters on it if you could find some with the proper side threaded mounts?

I've got my heaviest piece, the Outlaw Audio Model 750, on the bottom shelf. No signs of bending or warping after over a month. Anything else is a feather in comparison.

psklenar: Thanks for posting the TV stand picture.

Yes this a very nice stand, It holds my 36 inch JVC TV, I set on it before I placed the TV on it and it did not move, (200 lbs) ..well worth the money..I am going to purchase the audio rack too..
