The digital meter also has a progress bar along the bottom that provides a function that maybe similar to the fluctuation of the VU meter, but I'm not sure. Although, I did like the VU meters of my Phase Linear, when I had it running.

- Analog meters, makes you want to go out and buy a tube amp laugh Oh, and the analog type is less expensive.

i got my meter.calibrated my speakers.everything was within .5db(except the sub).pretty impressive considering my main listening position is off center of the room.

and just for fun,my normal listening level is right around 104 db and my favorite 'demo'(godsmack-changes-dvd) has a couple 116db peaks(no audible clipping) and from the unplugged port of my sub,3 feet away,i slam it at 126db with power to spare.

of course all my stereo buddies want to borrow it,i had to make a waiting list!

i'm looking forward to calibrating my truck stereo when i get it rebuilt.the 3 jl 10w3-d6 subs are gone but i just bought a brand new 10w7 that is just a monster(30lb driver).i'll get pics soon(my camera went on vacation)
