I am installing an optoma ez 758 projector for my media room which has a DVI input...which dvd player is the best choice for this projector/hdtv format? I currently have a 1050 but I have had to replace it with a Marantz 5500 temporarily until the 1070 becomes available...the room is setup for 7.1...any suggestions? Thanks

The link below will take you to a site that has a lot of forums; there you can get info on projectors and DVD players.

I hope it helps.

1) If you can find one. They're in short supply nationwide.

2) Before next year. A little birdie told me that Denon is raising the price on the 3910 by $200 as of the first of the year...

Not a great source for A/V reviews, but the New York Times just did a review of DVI equipped DVD players. The Denon 1910 and a Panasonic player did the best according to them.

ive said it before, but denon is a step-ahead as far as dvd players go. i cant speak for their dvd-audio quality, but video even on their low end ones is awesome... im sure dvd-a/sacd-a is awesome as well though. if you are on a budget then get a different model...

I'll add my two cents and recommend the Denon 3910, or the 2910 if your budget doesn't allow. They both use the same Faroudja video chip.

Another vote for the 3910. Great audio and video and full BM for SACD and DVD-A.

I also agree with Jason J. Mine took 6 weeks to arrive at my dealer. Of course that was the silver model. Why silver you ask since color shouldn't matter. well my Philips 963 is silver so a silver 3910 should be easier to sneak into the rack without the wife noticing eek cool

Froogle.com list at least 10 stores with 3910 in stock.

If you don't care about multi-channel audio and just want video quality, I can vouch for the Denon 1910. I'm very happy with mine and it's less than half the price of the 2910. As I said though, no SACD or DVD-Audio.
